Microcement creates seamless integration of walls, floors and ceilings.
With an infinitely extended design sense
and minimalist style, it is widely favored by designers and consumers,
and quickly applied in numerous projects.
Nowadays, microcement has become a top choice for designers and a trending internet-famous material for end users.
Almost all designers love using microcement,
yet worry that the actual construction effect may fall short of expectations.
Almost all consumers want to use microcement,
but are concerned about its complicated construction process.
Almost all microcement craftsmen are willing to take construction orders,
while fearing improper on-site control that may lead to rework and economic losses.
All users are attracted by the elegant appearance of microcement,
and meanwhile worry about difficult daily maintenance and upkeep.

Traditional Two-Component Microcement
1) Low fault tolerance on construction site
2) Powder and slurry need to be proportionally mixed and stirred on site
3) Unstandard mixing ratio and unqualified stirring time will seriously affect product quality.
(For example, an improper ratio of powder to slurry will easily cause material performance degradation,
resulting in insufficient compressive strength, bonding strength and pull-out strength.)
Traditional microcement is a two-component product that requires on-site proportional mixing before application.
It has a short construction pot life, and any unused material that cannot be applied in time has to be discarded.
Complicated Tinting of Traditional Two-Component Microcement
1) Traditional two-component microcement contains a high proportion of Portland cement. Color paste can only be added one by one during on-site mixing, which easily causes color difference.
2) Containing high-content Portland cement, the material undergoes extremely complex hydration reactions during mixing and tinting,
releasing high-concentration alkaline substances that react with color paste, resulting in floating color, mottling and uneven coloring.
This is especially obvious when mixing dark colors.
3) During troweling construction, different troweling force will form different density on the coating surface,
which affects the hydration rate during drying. It leads to uneven mottled tones on the coating, showing a dull and dirty visual effect in many colors.
4) Two-component microcement features long curing time, requiring more than 7 days of maintenance. In particular, floors need 21 days to reach optimal compressive
and flexural strength, which greatly increases construction costs.
5) Most traditional two-component microcement adopts two-component polyurethane topcoat, which requires on-site mixing with short construction open time,
making gloss hard to control and prone to uneven coating absorption.
Can we have both advantages at the same time?
We pursue the minimalist expressive effect of microcement,
the seamless endless connection of microcement,
the natural stone texture of microcement,
and its quiet natural charm.
It presents minimalist aesthetics both near and far,
with pure texture and understated luxury.
We intend to abandon overly complex materials and processes,
and get rid of cumbersome and hard-to-master construction skills.
We develop a new type of microcement that inherits the seamless connection,
natural tranquility and luxurious texture of traditional two-component microcement.
Just like mirrorless cameras in photography,
it abandons complicated techniques and easily delivers professional photo quality equivalent to traditional full-frame cameras.
New Mission of Microcement Developer — Simon
Minimalist Resin Microcement : Simon Resin Microcement
The minimalist material system consists of penetrating primer, ready-to-use one-component resin microcement and one-component protective agent.
1) Penetrating Primer: It can reinforce the base surface and seal alkali and moisture of the substrate.
2) Resin Microcement: It adopts hybrid resin of inorganic potassium silicate, lithium silicate, nano silica sol and hydroxyl polymer to replace unstable Portland cement.
It adopts graded quartz sand as aggregate, pure powder and high-performance additives to form "liquid cement". Factory pre-tinting ensures uniform color. As a one-component product, it is ready to use right after opening.
The coating dries quickly with no special curing required, and no on-site mixing of powder and liquid is needed. It conforms to painters' construction habits; leftover material can be stored for later use without waste.
It meets Class A non-combustible standard, features ultra-low VOC emission, and is an eco-friendly energy-saving product with excellent environmental performance.
3) One-Component Protective Agent: Ready for use after stirring evenly, no hardener mixing needed. Easy matte finish application, with high hardness and outstanding stain resistance.
Simon Resin Microcement
Simple tinting, high hardness and minimalist construction solve constructors' difficulties, worries about construction and rework risks
Roll one coat of Simon penetrating primer on qualified base surface.
Apply two trowel coats of Simon Resin Microcement after primer drying.
(For a super smooth finish, polish with 200-300 grit sandpaper after the microcement is fully dried.)
Vacuum clean the surface dust, then roll two coats of matte protective agent.
