Simon Waterborne Polyurethane Wear-Resistant Varnish is a high-performance water-based coating formulated with a modified polyurethane resin system. It features core advantages such as high scratch resistance, excellent wear resistance and outstanding toughness, with overall performance more than 30% higher than that of ordinary water-based varnishes. This product is transparent and non-yellowing, with strong adhesion (Grade 1 or below), excellent scrub resistance and water resistance, and can withstand common acids, alkalis and organic solvents. It is suitable for surface decoration and protection of various substrates including cement base, epoxy flooring, wood, metal and plastic. Eco-friendly and safe with VOC ≤ 50g/L, it is easy to apply and an ideal choice for improving surface wear resistance and stain resistance.
1. Product Features

Resistant to acid, alkali and organic solvents. No obvious changes to the coating after 24-hour immersion in 10% hydrochloric acid, 10% sulfuric acid, 10% sodium hydroxide and 50% ethanol solution.
Other Features: Transparent and non-yellowing; adhesion Grade ≤1 (cross-cut method); scrub resistance ≥10,000 times; water resistance (48h water immersion) with no wrinkling or peeling.
Environmental Performance: Water used as diluent; VOC content ≤50g/L, compliant with national standard GB 18581-2020, no pungent odor.

3. Application Scenarios
Suitable as protective layer for cement self-leveling, epoxy flooring and polyurethane flooring; for concrete walls and floors, cement-based surfaces; decoration and protection of indoor and outdoor wooden substrates (wooden floors, furniture, wooden doors, wooden walkways), metal surfaces (with matched anti-rust primer), and plastic substrates (ABS, PVC).

It is recommended to apply WPU800 polyurethane wear-resistant clear varnish over base paint for further improved stain resistance and wear resistance.
I. Construction Process
1.1 Surface Treatment
Cement Substrate: Remove burrs and thoroughly clean dust; control moisture content within 8%-12%.
Wood Substrate: Sand with P240-P400 grit sandpaper to remove burrs and dust; keep moisture content at 8%-12%.
Metal Substrate: Remove rust to Sa2.5 or St3 grade; apply 1-2 coats of matching waterborne anti-rust primer, and construct this product after full drying.
Plastic Substrate: Wipe the surface with alcohol for degreasing; lightly sand with P320 grit sandpaper if necessary to enhance adhesion.

1.3 Construction Procedure
Substrate Treatment → 2. First topcoat application → 3. Light sanding with P400 grit sandpaper after 4-6 hours of dry curing → 4. Second topcoat application → 5. 7-day curing period for optimal performance
II. Precautions
• The construction site must be well ventilated; do not construct in rainy, snowy, foggy or strong wind conditions.
• Only clean water is allowed for dilution. Adding organic solvents is prohibited, otherwise the film performance will be damaged.
• The interval between two topcoats shall not exceed 24 hours; re-sand the substrate lightly if exceeded.
• Avoid heavy rolling, sharp scratches and contact with corrosive substances such as acids and alkalis during the curing period.
• Clean construction tools (brushes, rollers, spray guns) immediately with clean water after use.
III. Safety & Protection
• Wear protective gloves and masks during construction to avoid direct skin contact and inhalation of paint mist.
• In case of skin contact, rinse immediately with clean water; if accidentally splashed into eyes, flush with plenty of clean water and seek medical attention promptly.
• This product is non-flammable, but keep away from fire and high temperature environments (storage temperature ≤40℃).
• Keep out of reach of children; do not ingest.
IV. Storage & Transportation
• Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place with sealed packaging; shelf life is 12 months for unopened original package.
• Avoid inversion and severe collision during transportation to prevent package damage and leakage.
• The storage temperature in winter shall not be lower than 5℃ to prevent freezing. If frozen naturally, thaw at room temperature, stir evenly, and reuse if no abnormal performance after inspection.
