Simon Soundproof Coating

Simon Sound Insulation Coating contains evenly distributed sound-insulating and sound-absorbing microparticles within the coating layer. It reduces the energy of transmitted sound waves to achieve sound absorption and noise insulation effects.

The dual functions of sound insulation and sound absorption ensure the superior performance of Simon Sound Insulation Coating.

Scope of Application:
Simon Sound Insulation Coating is suitable for the surfaces of indoor and outdoor buildings, including residential communities, roadside houses, road noise barriers, villas, high-end residences, hotels, schools, stadiums, concert halls, opera houses and factories. It delivers outstanding sound absorption performance to effectively reduce and relieve noise. Different variants are available respectively for floor and wall applications.

Composition:
Formulated mainly with sound insulation powder, damping powder and sound-absorbing particles, compounded with acrylic emulsion and other environmentally friendly additives. It forms a dry film with vibration damping and sound insulation effects.

Features:
◎ Water-based, non-toxic and odorless; Class A non-combustible, eco-friendly and safe for easy construction.
◎ Effective in vibration damping, noise reduction, sound elimination and sound insulation over a wide temperature and frequency range.
◎ Allows thick-coat application with high construction efficiency.

Dilution & Drying Time:
Dilution ratio: 10% water addition. Coverage: 1.2~1.4kg/mm per square meter.

Coating Thickness: 3mm–5mm

Drying Time:
At room temperature of 30℃ and relative humidity below 50%, surface drying takes 5 hours and full drying requires over 72 hours. Drying time needs to be extended under high humidity conditions.

Construction Instructions:
1. The base surface shall be clean, dry metal, concrete or other substrates, free from water leakage and dampness. If the original base has severe cracks, repair them first. Remove surface dust, uneven particles and loose debris; the substrate must be free from oil stains, grease and wax.

2. Floors can be applied by troweling, scraping or spraying; spraying is recommended for walls and ceilings.

3. Use a real stone paint spray gun with nozzle diameter of 8–10 mm. The interval between spraying coats shall be no less than 48 hours, subject to ventilation and weather conditions.

4. Professional spraying equipment is suitable for large-area construction with high spraying efficiency.

5. Construction temperature: 5–35℃. Avoid coating cracking when constructing under extremely high temperature and dry conditions.
